New line extensions and brands from Scentsy!

So I said there were a lot of new and exciting announcements with Scentsy and I am so excited to share them with you!

On March 1, Scentsy will launch an innovative product line extension: an online greeting card store featuring over 150 original, customizable, scented greeting cards. You will be able to order cards online and have them delivered to the recipients' addresses without buying stamps or going to the post office.

You will be able to personalize cards with a customized message, your favorite photo, a digital signature, AND a scent sample from the Scentsy Favorites collection. Each card will be mailed with a sample infused with Scentsy fragrance, allowing the recipient to experience Scentsy as soon as they open the envelope.

There are cards for every occasion, from birthdays and anniversaries to holidays.

Did you know that stamps went up to .46 today? With Sincerely Scent, you can buy the card including postage for $2.85. You can scent them with your favorite Scentsy scent, schedule it 364 days in advance, and it is automatically mailed out. Let Scentsy and I make your life easier!

Also on March 1st, Scentsy will also launch their second product line extension for Spring/Summer 2012: Layers by Scentsy--personal and laundry care products infused with your favorite Scentsy fragrances and custom-designed for Scentsy. Scentsy worked with the best suppliers in the industry to bring you personal care products you will LOVE.

There are nine Layers by Scentsy products--eight new ones, plus Scentsy Solid Perfume.

New personal care products include: Shower Gel, Shower Cream, Body Lotion, Body Butter, Hand Cream, and Body Spray. Personal care product prices range from $6 (USD) / $7 (CAD) for Hand Cream to $18 (USD) / $21 (CAD) for Solid Perfume.

In addition to world-class personal care products, two new laundry care products allow you to extend your Scentsy experience to your clothes. Washer Whiffs is a perfume for your laundry. Simply add it to the wash cycle with your detergent to scent your clothes. Then, toss your laundry into the dryer and add a Dryer Disk. The Dryer Disk is made of plastic infused with fragrance that has anti-static properties. It will scent up to 15 loads of laundry. Laundry care product pricing is being finalized.

We will launch with six fragrances for new personal care products and up to six fragrances for laundry care products.

On May 1, Scentsy will launch Velata ( pronounced Vel-oughta), a fun, easy-to-use, and absolutely DELICIOUS fondue experience.

You already know that warmers + wax = a simple system. With Velata, warmers + CHOCOLATE = a simple, incredible, EDIBLE party experience. Scentsy's team flew to Belgium and met with the oldest and most prestigious chocolate manufacturers. They selected the highest quality, purest chocolate that would melt perfectly and taste divine.

They will launch with Velvety milk chocolate, creamy white chocolate, decadent dark chocolate and indulgent caramel milk chocolate.

Velata chocolate will come in convenient 6 ounce pouches with pour spouts. Simply microwave, pour into the valata dish dip your favorite foods and enjoy.

There are 14 Velata fondue warmers to choose from that range from contemporary to traditional design. Velata fondue warmers use the same technology as other Scentsy warmers. The difference between Velata fondue warmers and Scentsy warmers lies in the silicone dish. It's a simple dish that has a patent-pending technology to keep the chocolate at exactly the right temperature. A metal plate wrapped in silicone absorbs the heat from the 25-watt bulb. The silicone keeps the heat from escaping, prevents the chocolate from scorching, and can go from the refrigerator to the microwave to the dishwasher with ease. You can't do that with a fondue tower, or a traditional fondue pot!

March's Warmer of the month was Dotty.

Dotty’s sunny yellow glossy finish and white polka dots are bright and cheerful. The ruffled warmer dish adds a frilly accent like the trumpet on a daffodil.

Isn't it so cute?It just screams Easter! Definite need for Spring!

The scent of the month is Jumpin' Jelly Bean: Crisp pear and apple, zesty lemon, and sugar evoke sweet childhood memories.

This has been a favorite for a few months now! It smells fresh and I give it 4 1/2 out of 5 stars! Its definitely a fruity scent and I think it smells just like a pear jelly belly! Yum, my favorite!

Okay, so no one really warned me that having 3 kids would slow me down so much! My baby is 5 months old now and I have finally got a new normal down! That sure threw me for a loop and my Scentsy business kind of had to sit on the back burner for awhile. I am sorry! That is the beauty of running your own business though, thats for sure! There have been so many new and exciting things that have come up and are yet to come that I am going to spend the next little while updating you! Somewhere in all my updates I will post another giveaway, so keep checking back!

Almost everything is 10% off in the current catalog, so go stock up on all your favorites! I will offer 10% off on all of the larger items that Scentsy won't but you MUST place your order through me. I haven't seen any of the discontinued warmers ever come back but some of the scents will return next year in the Spring and Summer catalog. I've heard that Jumpin' Jellybean will be discontinued also, so if thats a favorite stock up on it today! A brick will hold you over til next spring. :) There is no guarantee that any of the scents come back and I'm only going off of previous years but most of the scents that do return are the most popular ones. Here's February's warmer of the month- Celtic Love Knot- An embossed and distressed Celtic knot pops on an emerald green background, accented by Irish cable details around the warmer dish.

I haven't seen this one yet but I love the looks of it and it will be a cute warmer to have year, round or just for March!

The Scent of the month is Shades of Green- The quintessential scent of grass and clover--green, sunny, and happy.

I can't rate this one because I haven't smelled it yet. I'll let you know as soon as it gets here though. Should be sometime this week!

Margot- Warmer and Scents of the Month

January's warmer of the month is Margot- A shimmering metallic reactive-glaze finish and exquisitely embossed details punctuated by creamy faux pearls create a feeling of romance.

It really is beautiful! To go along the scent is My Wish- A confection of earthy fig, sweet violet, and playful marshmallow will have you wishing for more.

It smells good and is very light. I'm going to start rating these scents that come out. I know a lot of people just go by the descriptions when they order and though they are quite accurate, they sometimes smell a little different. What I love may be different from what you love, BUT I thought it might help people out a little bit. So on a scale of 1 to 5, one meaning I'm not a fan and 5 meaning I'm super in love with it, I give this one a 3.5.

Scentsy's 100,000th Consultant Could Be YOU!!

Have you ever thought about joining a Direct sales company? Have you ever joined one before and it was a complete disaster?? Oh, it happened to me! Here's my brief little story: I wanted to make some extra cash. I had a full time job, I had just gotten married, my husband worked full time too. We bought a brand new 2 bedroom condo and one night for dinner we found ourselves splitting a cheeseburger combo meal for dinner one night (there were 2 cheeseburgers!) We needed to make some extra money and we realized that but we both worked full time and were taking night classes, plus we were newlyweds and loved every second of our free time together!

Long story short, I signed up to sell Mary Kay. I went to the "meetings" they sounded wonderful! I already was a HUGE fan of the Make-up. It was going to be a win-win situation. I would get discounts and make money on the side! I was going to be the next director driving around in one of those Pink Cadillac's! I had my mind made up and I was determined. Signed up, had my first party and did ok. Then the monthly meetings started and the parties slowed down and I found myself struggling to make the required sales amount each quarter. I was giving everyone my 50% discount and buying "inventory" JUST to make the requirements. I couldn't attend all the meetings and I wasn't even close to driving that pink Cadillac. My husband pretty much asked me (nicely of course) to stop. It wasn't making us any money (I was spending...a lot) and I was building up an inventory that I wasn't selling. Now, don't get my wrong, I'm not bagging on Mary Kay. I love their product and still use it today. BUT it wasn't for me. I wasn't the right "type" of person for their company.
Fast forward 6 years. I now live in a house, have 2 children and work from home. Hubby works full time and we get by okay. We're not all splitting combo meals, I promise! Its still a bit of a struggle though. I bought a warmer from a Scentsy Party and it had gotten broken. I ran into a Scentsy consultant and she said, "have a party for me and I'll give you a free warmer!" ( I do that too, just in case you were wondering) Sounded great! I could round up some friends and family for a couple of hours one night. Easy! It was SO easy. She came set it up, we smelled all the scents laughed and had such a fun time. The scents reminded everyone of something from their past and that was the most fun part (still is today) of the party. She packed up and left. After I saw how easy it was and all the benefits I got, I was intrigued. After talking to her about it, and getting the ~~hesitant~~ okay from the hubby, I signed up. It was the best $99 I've ever spent. I've made so many friends with other consultants, and my hostesses and customers. Its so fun to join in on their parties and laugh with and meet new people. You don't have to be a "type" of person to sell Scentsy. It sells itself. If you have Scentsy you already know that because you're hooked too, right?! One of my most favorite things (the list is huge) about being a consultant, is the basket parties. You give the hostess everything they need, they take orders for a week or two and voila you have an order (which usually hits the requirements), place it, deliver it and done. It takes about 2 hours out of you week tops and puts money in your pocket! I mean really, its that simple!

So anyway back to the main point of this post. Scentsy is about to hit the 100,000th consultant. I joined in Nov of 2007 and my consultant ID is in the high 3000's. Our company is huge, and growing quicker than ever! It is such an amazing company to work for.

It's in Denver, Colorado this year. The end of next month, actually! You meet great people, walk away with more free stuff than you'd ever imagine and be so excited you became a consultant!
Bottom line: Its a great company to join if you're looking for a way to earn some extra money. Even if you don't need the money, the friendships you'll build is enough. Scentsy has become a "family" to me, not in a cheesy way, but it really has. My sponsor is one of my really good friends and I have made a lot of new friendships in my up-line, down-line and consultants from other teams. My sister-in-law sells it too and its fun for us to do together. The "top" is easy to reach too. I've watched my Director and those above me buy new homes, new cars and just grow as the company grows. Amazing! The more focus you put into your business, the more successful you'll be. It's that easy.

The reasons of why I love Scentsy go on and on and on... First and foremost, I make my schedule. I work and have two small children and a busy schedule just like the rest of you. As I sit here thinking about today, Thanksgiving, and all that I am grateful for I'm a little overwhelmed and emotional. It saddens me that we have to have a holiday to remember and appreciate what we are truly thankful for. I have a wonderful, supportive husband, beautiful, healthy children and I am SURROUNDED by family and friends that I cherish so deeply. Although I think about this all the time and I do know how lucky of a girl I really am, I don't express it enough. I do not tell my family and friends how much they mean to me all of the time. I take for granted the simple things in life such as my health. The fact that I have a car, a house, and a job even if they are all not the most glamerous. My senses; there is nothing sweeter than the sound of my children laughing, the smell of cookies baking, clean babies after a bath or Scentsy of course! The fact I can hear that annoying car wash by my house go off at all hours of the night and morning isn't a bad thing, I can hear it! I mean really, why do we complain so much when we have it so good? Trials are trials whether small or large and I acknowledge that but I was humbled recently and this Thanksgiving takes on a whole new meaning for me.

My biggest problem the past month was that our house was intruded by mice. Yuck, it was sending me crazy! Every time we caught one, I'd find droppings somewhere or the trap would be set to kill but the bait completely licked clean. Mice here are sneaky and very intelligent little creatures. I was so upset by it and it was consuming me; I was even dreaming about it!

It hit me hard one afternoon a couple of weeks ago. A friend of mine from High School had posted on Facebook that her cousin had been diagnosed with cancer. He had previously switched jobs and didn't have insurance and was going to have to be in the hospital for the next month or so to receive treatment. They were asking for any help at all through donations. I offered to do a Scentsy fundraiser and give my commission to help out a little bit. They were grateful for my generosity and that was that. I set up a fundraiser on line and went about my business.

Unfortunately, (and thank you to those who are being patient and standing by through the slooooowness of the new and improved website) the website was having issues and people weren't able to order online like they wanted to. His wife called me and was asking what she could do since a lot of people wanted to order and couldn't. I spoke all of about 10 minutes with her and as I hung up the phone, I knelt down and sobbed for about 5 minutes and then spent another 5 minutes in prayer. I composed myself, called my husband told him how much I loved him, appreciated him and how I could not wait for him to walk through the door that evening. My children were napping at the same time (not a common occurrence in this household) but I went and snuggled each of them in their beds and watched them sleep so peacefully.
In my ten minute conversation, this amazing woman of strength and courage told me of how she had to continue to work full time, take care of her two young children, and visit her husband in the hospital daily on top of staying positive and strong. He had started the treatment but on this particular day he was running fever's of 106 degrees, and was in need of another blood transfusion. My problem with the mice was not a problem anymore. I felt small, insignificant and just humbled.
